Seven weeks ago a tragic accident happened and a local photographer lost her husband. Reading this story in the paper absolutely broke my heart and decided I wanted to do something to help. I would encourage everyone to visit Renee’s blog - You will fall in love with their family. You will be inspired.

I would like to challenge everyone who reads this to help out this family. So, what I thought of is for everyone to donate the cost of a 5×7 - Whatever that might be. If you are a photographer, donate the sale of a 5×7. Clients/blog followers, I would encourage you to donate what you would normally spend on a 5×7. Just one 5×7…. would help out this family. It has been a crazy month….it has been such a busy month. I have not been able to keep up with the blog world (as you can see…) Lots of FUN sessions and awesome projects I have been working on. I have also been on the hunt for the perfect studio and have a couple that I am seriously considering.
I seriously have the BEST clients. Sometimes I seem to take on a little more than I can do in a day, but everyone has been so very very patient and I thank you for that!!!! I love my job. I love my clients. I am blessed.

A celebration of life…… even the simplest things….things we take for granted are some of the most beautiful things in life.

It is that time of year… I must get my computer organized and ready for the new year! I will be purging all 2009 files (with the exception of December clients) on February 1, 2010. If you need your galleries re-posted or would like to book an ordering session, please let me know.

My ‘09 Christmas Card picture….my sweet babies. What you don’t see in my Christmas card is the fist fight between my 18 month old and my daughter as she is trying to hold on to him…and my husband on the other side of the tree desperately trying to get their attention…..Haha. After a very intense work schedule for the last couple of months, I never got around to taking pictures of my own kiddo’s until about a week ago. I realized omgosh, christmas is like in a week and I haven’t even photographed my own kiddo’s. I decided at best to try a picture of them where they didn’t have to be looking at me:) There is nothing harder than to try to photograph your own child at the sweet age of 18 months!!! He is my wild man! So, funny…as I was typing “wild man” - I heard a huge boom, bang, in my kitchen. Anyhow, just wanted to thank all of my clients, blog buddies, and friends for a wonderful 2009. I am also so grateful for our wonderful God…to give us hope and peace in our wonderful savior!!! I hope everyone is enjoying their week with their families. Merry Christmas!

Just got back from our mini “camping” trip. We had a wonderful time visiting with our friends in Kettle Falls. Went out on their boat, I belienve we were on the Columbia River. Had a great time watching them fly off the raft. (my back was still “broken” so wasn’t able to do the raft thing). Angelina cooked her amazing meals with fresh veggies right from their wonderful garden. I wished I would of taken pics of her garden, it it the ideal garden, with a view to die for!
So, I am back to work now…will be proofing most of the next few days. Last week sure set me back….
Here’s one pic from the weekend…

It is my 10 year wedding anniversary today ;)  My oh my, how time flies!!!  My husband always says (but now I beat him to it) “it’s like we/ve been married for 10 minutes….under water… Oh, that’s bad!!! You gotta know him…he IS the most sarcastic guy I know. He comes w/ a warning label. Anyhow, I am so blessed to have him…you really know someone loves you when they see you at your worst and they are there for you! This past week has been crazy awful w/ my back pain & all. My family is awesome! I am blessed.
So, anyhow….we have had plans to go to my friend Angelina’s for a little weekend “camping” trip in Kettle Falls WA. I say the “camping” in quotes because my bff says that it is not considered camping. We are staying in my friend Angelina’s camper trailer outside of her house in the middle of the woods. After we sleep in the camper, I will get to go in her house and shower, etc… Just an FYI, I have never been camping in my life… So, this is as close to camping as I am going to get for now. So, off we go camping for the weekend =) Have a wonderful weekend!

Just wanted to share something fun to do w/ the family this month on Thursday nights. The Book & Bean are doing family night w/ delicious coffee, tasty treats, free popcorn & board games. Hands On Art is also open for pottery painting. Thursdays in August 6-8 pm.
Also, they have story time on Fridays at 10:30 am - Fun Stories & Crafts.  Tea Party Story Time - last Friday of every month at 10:30 am. Book Club for Adults: Meets the 1st Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm. Enjoy lively discussion and dessert with fellow book lovers!
