Seven weeks ago a tragic accident happened and a local photographer lost her husband. Reading this story in the paper absolutely broke my heart and decided I wanted to do something to help. I would encourage everyone to visit Renee’s blog - You will fall in love with their family. You will be inspired.
I would like to challenge everyone who reads this to help out this family. So, what I thought of is for everyone to donate the cost of a 5×7 - Whatever that might be. If you are a photographer, donate the sale of a 5×7. Clients/blog followers, I would encourage you to donate what you would normally spend on a 5×7. Just one 5×7…. would help out this family. Thanks so much for your support. Don’t forget to check out her site. Be inspired by this family.
here is the link for donations that can be made through paypal
Or donations can be mailed to the info below.

I have to admit….I seriously felt some pressure before this photo shoot. Megan is a photographer from Arizona. She planned a trip to the NW but was going out of her way to have pictures done. She came on the same weekend as Iron Man (which is crazy $ for hotels) She was here just the one night….so, I had one chance to capture her family. I guess in my mind, I was like….oh my gosh, what if I forget how to use my camera….what if something weird starts happening with my camera and don’t know what to do about it….and on and on. So crazy! Well, they couldn’t of been dressed more adorable! I love, love the patterns and colors! She totally rocked on her choice of clothing! (the dresses are from Target) They are a gorgeous family! (check out her site - she is awesome!)

This family was so awesome to hang out with….the kids were absolutely adorable. and I loved the dad’s new york accent! It always reminds me of my dad when I hear someone’s new york accent:) And I am soooo happy to have beautiful weather now!
Thanks d family for being so very patient with your proofs!

This was a fun session from a few weeks ago. One of the ones where we had to dodge the crazy rain weather. I do love how green everything is…that is definitely the bonus of lots of rain;)
What a beautiful family! So great to meet them…they were so kind and fun to hang out with!
b family, gallery coming soon;) - xo, christina

Oh, are they the sweetest, cutest, most adorable….and oh my! love, love their outfits! I loved the style, the colors, the patterns!
Mom did an awesome job!!!
The weather around here has been very crazy! One day it is summer and the next, well, it is winter, spring and summer all in the same day! How do you plan for that one? We totally froze on this day…of course a few hours later in the day, it was sunny and beautiful. We got through it….with the help of mom & dad promising….Silverwood to their beautiful kiddo’s for doing a great job with pics! So happy to meet this family!

These were from a session a few weeks ago…(I don’t know where my days go, it is so crazy to be behind in the month of April) I just love this family who I was so blessed to meet a couple of years ago. They were wonderful clients who have now become friends that I truly adore. I recently did Ally’s maternity session (that I can’t wait to share some….just need to get her approval on them:) the littlest sure gives me a run for the money….and sweating bullets too! I figured out something on this one session, let her be in charge and definitely, be on her level:) They are so precious!
oh, and Renee, thanks for all of your help:) you are totally hired!

This was one of the nicest families I have ever met. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with mom & daughter this past summer for senior portraits. They are wonderful!!! I have to also give a shout out to the “dad” in this family!!! He was so wonderful to work with! Lots of dads do not like “family pictures” But he was so easy going! Thanks “B” family! You guys are awesome!!! Proofs coming soon…I’ll call you when they are ready:)

What a wonderful family that I recently met….I thanked the dad at the end for being so pleasant!!! He was so easy going which makes my job so much easier!!! And, what a beautiful family they have….The kiddo’s are so adorable! Thanks “O” family for a {Wonderful} session!!! Proofs coming soon - can’t wait for you to see them, lots of treasures!!!

I think the best gift we could ever receive… a baby!!! I am so happy for pregnant mommies! It is such a wonderful, magical time. Best wishes to you guys!!!

Meet the “S” family….they have an adorable little girl w/ the most blueist eyes you will ever see! So, here’s the deal. ~ Dayna booked this appointment 1 year ago, just after their fall session from 2008 - then they had another session in May of ‘09. I bumped into them at the Vintage Barn Sale in September and mentioned to them their next session was coming out…her hubby was feeling all “photo’d” out. Which I can totally understand, especially for the hubby’s - 3 sessions within one year! ~ he really loves his family!!! During our conversation, he mentioned about this really awesome property that they take care of…and that we could use it for their session. The way he was describing it sounded pretty awesome, I think it changed his tune on the idea of family pics. Dayna said after that day, he was all for pics =) Way to go Mike!!!!!! You are an awesome hubby and dad!!! I am in LOVE this location!!!

Aren’t they the cutest? ever! It is especially fun for me when I get to photograph kids year after year! I just love to see them grow up!!! Little “S” is about to get a baby brother and I am so excited for them! Congrats “h” family!!! Can’t wait to meet him =)
Thanks “h” & “e” family for being so patient on your proofs…I am on a roll~i think =)

Mike & Natalie are swim teachers in downtown Coeur d’Alene. Natalie is the coolest :)…and she is my daughter’s swim teacher. When I first brought my sweet little girl to Natalie for swim lessons, my daughter literally cried if she got a drop of water on her face. Ok, so that makes it a little difficult to go swimming =). So, each summer - we go see Natalie for lessons - she is the BEST in the WEST! I have also had the pleasure of photographing her family and watched her kiddos grow up =) Oh, and she has the coolest house. She has the biggest imagination, the most colorful ideas, ….a few words to describe her decorating- wild, shabby, colorful is an understatement, chic, cool, and did I say WILD? It is so wild and I love it! Here are a few sneak peeks…xo Hamm Family!!!
back to proofing =)

meet the Waddell family…I have had the pleasure to have their friendship for the last 6 years. Kristin & I met at a M.O.P.S. group (I believe it was abput 6 years ago…losing track of time!) We had one of the most wonderful groups that year….we got together on a regular basis w/ all of our kiddos and just hung out - life was a little less hectic then! Great friends that I am so blessed to have! xo
About a year and half ago, Chris was diagnosed w/ cancer. He had surgery last year. And this past summer, was told it was back. They were given some horrible news at first but later told that it was in fact treatable. Praise God…God is so good!!! They have been on one heck of a roller coaster! He has just finshed his most recent chemo treatments and will be headed back to MD Anderson in Texas. There he will do blood work, CT Scan and a PT Scan. I would like to ask everyone to pray for complete healing for Chris and and a safe trip home. They have an amazing testimony and story. You can view it here.

Meet the “G” family….Aren’t they the cutest!!! I originally met the G family 4 years ago…one of my original clients that I have had the pleasure of photographing year after year. I began photographing them as a couple with their 2 VERY big doggies. They were their babies {at the time}. The G family has an amazing story…. they tried for a family for {many} years. They were blessed with the most adorable little boy almost 2 years ago and again a couple of months ago!!! God is so good!
I learned something VERY valuable on this last session…Little “E” is much happier with a lollipop. Congrats “G” family!!!

This is a crazy time of year! I have had to put the whole blogging world aside for a little while. I have so many sessions I would love to blog….I am hoping to get caught up and when I do, hoping to blog some of my sessions from the last month =)
Someday…I will be back to blogging…I sure miss it.
I did recently photograph my bff, Amy, and her family. I can’t tell you how many times she called to talk about “what to wear” during the week prior to here session. This is hilarious because she is also a photographer and recently posted a “what to wear” on her blog. So, I get a call the day after her pics…Can you just give me ONE freakin pic on the blog as a sneak peek? So, here you go my sweet, bff! You and Mark make the most adorable “couple” pics…as well as the most adorable kiddo’s! Love you guys! xoxoxo
NOTE: this is not an active train track…I would never use tracks that could endanger lives.

Brandi, I am hoping to have your proofs up tomorrow (thanks so much =) I’ll call you when they are ready.
