the blankartz family

August 19, 2010

Seven weeks ago a tragic accident happened and a local photographer lost her husband. Reading this story in the paper absolutely broke my heart and decided I wanted to do something to help. I would encourage everyone to visit Renee’s blog - You will fall in love with their family. You will be inspired.

I would like to challenge everyone who reads this to help out this family. So, what I thought of is for everyone to donate the cost of a 5×7 - Whatever that might be. If you are a photographer, donate the sale of a 5×7. Clients/blog followers, I would encourage you to donate what you would normally spend on a 5×7. Just one 5×7…. would help out this family. Thanks so much for your support. Don’t forget to check out her site. Be inspired by this family.

here is the link for donations that can be made through paypal
Or donations can be mailed to the info below.

Mark your calenders! Next show - Saturday, July 11th 10-4! Wahoo, one of my absolute fave things to do!!!
On Sunday, Rolane and Sharon hosted a Vendor Appreciation Party for the upcoming Vintage Barn Sale on July 11th. Here are just a few of the pics from the day. They did an amazing job decorating and made some fabulous treats for all of the vendors. It is actually kind of fun photographing food, etc…I am not having to chase after the food - it just sits there and looks pretty for me:) I will have to admit, all of this yummy food was certainly talking to me, lol.

{GIVEAWAY}! Rolane will be giving me some fun things to giveaway to one of my {awesome} bloggers this next month. So, all you have to do is leave a comment anywhere in the month of June and a lucky blogger will be randomly chosen at the end of the month. There will be multiple winners!!! Wahoo!  UPDATE:  I have a Vintage Barn Signature Necklace and a {vintage} Apron for the giveaway! PS If you are the lucky winner and live out of town, I will mail it to you:) Happy Blogging!!!!

I recently did a commercial photo shoot for Accent Floors & Design. The new owners, Steven & Christy Boyd, have done an amazing job with remodeling the store! They have a beautiful showroom! They will be having an open house on  May 5th.  I also designed a couple postcards for their most recent mailing.  Check out their store.  They are located at 2924 N Government Way, Coeur d’Alene.accent-floors-blog-copy1postcards-blog-copy1

I went out the other day, just to see the beauty of our winter right now (and to get to use my new camera & lens…especially outdoors)!. It literally looked like a winter wonderland. Coeur d’Alene is so beautiful! I can’t believe I live here! I LOVE it here…(even with the 10′ of snow) can’t imagine living anywhere else in the world! We Idaho’ns are truly blessed to live here!    more pics later…
Off tomorrow - out of town for photog workshop…Have a wonderful weekend!
PS…I lost 6.4 lbs this past week and Amy lost 5.4 lbs!!! wahoo!!! Isn’t that awesome!  But, if you know Amy (psst, I ‘m whispering) tell her, she can’t go celebrate at Olive Garden
