Recently, my husband had a pay per view boxing event party at our house…so, my sweet little daughter and I hit the road for a girls day out. It was a much needed “fun day” with the craziness of summer work. We spent the entire day in Spokane. Starting out at The Farm Chicks store….cutest little store ever. Found some awesome bracelets, and party decor and the cutest polka dot rubber gloves. I really “need” the gloves, they are on my Santa wish list - You won’t ever catch me doing dishes without gloves!
Then we headed closer to the downtown area. I wanted to go back to this store called “Roost”. I went there a few weeks ago and saw something really cool for a great prop, thought I should go back and buy it. And guess what someone else was purchasing as I walked in….yes, my cool prop. Oh well, I did find a couple of others things so cute for props! Her store is darling…Gotta check it out!
Did a little more shopping, dinner and then laser tag. I love to play laser tag. I am very competitive, just so you know. I won 1st place that night:) My code name is “dazzle” Anyone up for some laser tag?
I am so glad that I took the day off…on the way home my daughter said that was the best day ever. That makes my smile:)

a peek at our day…

we had lots of fun this morning trying to win some stuff w/ blu. Even if we don’t win, we sure had fun doing the pics… Just hoping the neighbors didn’t see me looking like I had a mop on my head and in my jammies. (by the time I saw the contest we had about 3 minutes to get it done before the contest was over) hehe, it was fun:)

I really had a great time…..our little photo booth was lots and lots of fun! It was a HOT beautiful day. Lots of cool junk, great music, and yummy food. It was sure great meeting facebook friends/fans, and fellow bloggers. here is a sneak peek…

Well, I just got back this evening from getting a sneak peek at The Farm Chicks Sale. It was so fun taking pictures of all of this beautiful junk. I think I *need* to buy about $500 worth of stuff tomorrow! This is seriously one of the highlights of my year….and even more bonus, to have the opportunity to photograph the show for Serena.

So excited for this weekend! I will be taking pictures of the show….and shopping of course in between! If you haven’t been to the Farm Chicks Show, gotta make it! It is so fun!

Mother’s Haven is an amazing store for new mommies. They have lots of awesome products…fun little Baby Legs, sassie diaper bags, and a huge selection of cloth diapers. Margaret had to give me a run down on how to use them….I asked the dumbest question ever - where do you put the icky stuff that you find in the diaper, you certainly don’t just through them in wash, right? Well, like I said it was a dumb question because the answer is quite simple… you throw the stuff (I’ll just call it stuff) in the toilet and then throw the diaper in the wash. Viola! Ok, that was probably a little more info than you needed, but just maybe someone else out there has the same question:) I feel a little behind times here as they are very popular now! They also have wonderful support groups as well. Check out her site! Just a few sneak peek pics from their photo shoot.

Just a heads up! Mark your calenders! This is seriously a photographers dream come true, all of the props that your heart could ever desire:) I think she has over 200 vendors with awesomely rad, cool junk!!! (I just turned into a valley girl!) I am especially excited this year about The Farm Chicks Show because I will be photographing the show for Serena. It’s fun to think that I will be photographing subjects that won’t be running away from me or making crazy faces…..or maybe some will ???/!#@ Anyhow, just totally excited.

It was truly a beautiful, sunny, warm, September day for the Vintage Barn Sale.  Couldn’t of asked for better weather!!!  It was a whole lot of fun, music, food and of course cool junk.  I found some of my best treasures for props this show.  Wahoo!  I have the best job ever - I get to work and shop at the same time =).  Well, mark your calenders for next July.  Don’t wanna miss it!!!

On Sunday, Rolane and Sharon hosted a Vendor Appreciation Party for the upcoming Vintage Barn Sale on July 11th. Here are just a few of the pics from the day. They did an amazing job decorating and made some fabulous treats for all of the vendors. It is actually kind of fun photographing food, etc…I am not having to chase after the food - it just sits there and looks pretty for me:) I will have to admit, all of this yummy food was certainly talking to me, lol.

This month I will be giving away a gift certificate to one of my fav places…Hands on Art!!! It is located at 3115 N Government Way (just south of Costco).
