Just got back from out of town…had a much needed getaway!  It was really nice to hang out with my in-laws and my sister!  We all met up in Missoula and stayed in the C’mon Inn (they have a great environment for kids, big pool and lots of jacuzzi’s, ping pong tables and game room)  My mother inlaw brought a Bingo game and I bingo’ed all 3 games, Wahoo! That was fun! (Darn, I meant to play the lottery!…was feeling so lucky!) I also got to wonder around downtown Missoula and take pics of my kiddo’s…here are a few. I will be returning emails & calls Monday.
I am so excited!!! My new iMac will be arriving tomorrow! I have something REALLY cool I plan to offer to my clients…It is REALLY cool!!! A whole new meaning of “family portraits”!!! I can’t tell you what it is yet, but, soon. So, keep checking back.

{New Band in Town}

March 10, 2009

Ok….so, Christina G, Amy Waddington and Margaret Boyd have quit the photog biz and started a {ROCK} band!  Seriously…check out the scores!  Miss Margaret got a 100% singing “Roxanne” TWICE.  I got a 97% singing “Should I Stay or Go”!!!

We all are so overwhelmed right now with everything that is on our plates…  It is definitely a REAL challenge finding balance.  So, instead of chipping away at our mile long “to do” lists, we decided to form a band today!  AND holy smokes, we needed this!!!!!  Margaret is going to be our lead singer, Amy will be the guitarist, and I will be playing the drums (I will also be behind the camera for most of the shots - I don’t like pics of myself, is that bad? :)  Someday, I will have to shoot some video and add it to the blog, just to show truly what an awesome band we are!  Any ideas on a band name?

Thanks for the great memories!  xoxo

What’s in the bag?

I have had some emails asking me what I shoot with, if I ever would consider offering mentoring sessions, etc.  So, here’s the scoop…

I shoot with the {new} Canon 5d MkII (this is my new baby :), Canon 70-200 L f/4, Canon 24-105 L, Canon 580 ex, and as a backup the Canon 40D, Canon 28-135 (don’t use much).  I plan to add either the 50mm  or 85mm sometime this year.

In regards to mentoring sessions… It is such an honor to be asked that!  I would LOVE, LOVE to offer them someday!  Just not sure when…  Life is very crazy right now, never seems like there is enough time in a day!  And I am still learning new tricks all of the time.  It would be fun to do them…something I look forward to:) …someday

Here are a couple of books that I purchased a few years back that I have helped me so much.  I just pulled them out a few weeks ago and have been reading them again…it’s crazy how something that I didn’t quite get a year ago, can suddenly just click after reading now.  I learn from these each and every time I look at them.  I Highly recommend them:)

Welcome to my new blog!  Not quite done with it…it will be a work in progress.   How about this new cool chair!  I LOVE, LOVE it!    Went to the Shabby to Chic store this past weekend and found this wonderful treasure!  It was so funny, I called Amy for her to come check it out and we ended up shopping at all of the stores on 4th for the rest of the day!  We were in the Forget Me Nots Store, I was upstairs, Amy down…and I hear this “OH MY GOSH!!!!, CHRIS…”  The whole store heard it!  Amy found the gold chair we have been looking for.

I went into the studio today to take some new pictures of my kiddo’s.  OK, it is a complete workout to take pictures of my kids!  I seriously want to swap kids one day with Amy…she does my kiddo’s and I’ll do hers!
