Nicole and her mom came all the way from Wenatchee to have her senior photos done. That just makes me feel so special!!! It was crazy, we had to reschedule 2 times because of our crazy thunderstorm weather in July/August. Just a few minutes after we began shooting, the wind picked up out of nowhere (I think we were all thinking, OH my…what are we gonna do =o her hair was blowing all over the place) But, then it seemed to settle down and every now and then would get a beautiful breeze flowing throw her hair perfectly!!! It was such a pleasure hanging out w/ you two! Thanks so much for choosing me to photograph your beautiful daughter! I should have your gallery up this week…so sorry for the delay. I’ll let you know when it is ready =)

had a wonderful weekend =)

August 24, 2009

Just got back from our mini “camping” trip. We had a wonderful time visiting with our friends in Kettle Falls. Went out on their boat, I belienve we were on the Columbia River. Had a great time watching them fly off the raft. (my back was still “broken” so wasn’t able to do the raft thing). Angelina cooked her amazing meals with fresh veggies right from their wonderful garden. I wished I would of taken pics of her garden, it it the ideal garden, with a view to die for!
So, I am back to work now…will be proofing most of the next few days. Last week sure set me back….
Here’s one pic from the weekend…

off to go “camping”

August 22, 2009

It is my 10 year wedding anniversary today ;)  My oh my, how time flies!!!  My husband always says (but now I beat him to it) “it’s like we/ve been married for 10 minutes….under water… Oh, that’s bad!!! You gotta know him…he IS the most sarcastic guy I know. He comes w/ a warning label. Anyhow, I am so blessed to have him…you really know someone loves you when they see you at your worst and they are there for you! This past week has been crazy awful w/ my back pain & all. My family is awesome! I am blessed.
So, anyhow….we have had plans to go to my friend Angelina’s for a little weekend “camping” trip in Kettle Falls WA. I say the “camping” in quotes because my bff says that it is not considered camping. We are staying in my friend Angelina’s camper trailer outside of her house in the middle of the woods. After we sleep in the camper, I will get to go in her house and shower, etc… Just an FYI, I have never been camping in my life… So, this is as close to camping as I am going to get for now. So, off we go camping for the weekend =) Have a wonderful weekend!

Well, I have been under the weather (like a big black cloud!) this last week - Haven’t been able to get out of bed or walk for most of the week. I had a back injury a few years ago that has been really giving me some problems lately.  I started back to physical therapy this week. I had the most pain I have ever had in my life a few days ago, but I am happy to say (and praising God for this! very thankful for all of the prayers!) that I am starting to feel better!!! Wahoo! Still gotta take it easy, one day at a time =) I have been ordered to not sit at my computer this whole week, so I would be in big trouble if my phs therapist saw me today!
So anyhow, I was able to get another session proofed, and here are a few sneak peeks… This CDA senior and her mom were so sweet! I hope you love your pics =)

ok…we seriously have a {rockstar} here!  Jillian was part of a group of girls that I photographed like 4 years ago…my first “paid” photo shoot! and now she’s all grown up!
We were in the middle of doing her senior photo shoot recently and just thought it would be fun for her to actually play the guitar while I snapped a few…and decided to video a little - And she started singing!!! She totally blew me away! (I thought she was just going to play her guitar a little) Wow! I loved it =) Doing everything that I could to not move the camera, holding back my tears! I am so proud of her! Ok, Jillian - if you get a record deal (which I believe you will =) I want to create the photo of you for your record!!!
Check out some of the video here…be sure to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the blog and click stop on the music so you can hear her video =)

what to wear…

August 6, 2009

This is the million dollar question…well, actually the number one question that I am asked - especially for family pics. Most people think they have to all “match”…but, no need =) Coordinating colors are great!
“Senior” season is starting to wind down. Those who are waiting for sneak peeks and proofs hang in there =) It has been so fun hanging out all of my senior girls. I am so blessed to have the opportunity to photograph each and everyone of you (….and a few more to meet up with, can’t wait!)   Also, getting ready for lots of family portraits the next few months.  Only a few appointments left for the fall!  So, I thought I would throw some of these “what to wear” ideas here and there….to give some ideas and a little inspiration.  I went to the Gap last week and oh!  love the new fall colors! Oh! And I love this turqoise scarf!!! I *need* one of those!!!
