{my story}

February 2, 2009

My passion for photography began at the age of 12.  My beautiful niece, Ashley, was born and I must have taken thousands of pictures of her.  (She even won Miss Photogenic in one the contests we entered her in)  I was constantly primping her and following her around with my 35mm camera.  I think I drove her crazy! :)  I continued throughout highschool, taking 2 years of photography and was the yearbook photog.  I loved it!     I remember, like it was yesterday, seeing some photography at a fair and telling my husband how that would be a dream come true, to be a photographer.  Never really realizing that it would be so…(I went to college and received my degree in Accounting…bummer, still paying on those student loans until 2016!).  My hubby purchased me an SLR camera  8 years ago, and my passion was alive again :)

I Love…

My wonderfully supportive husband.  Thank you for supporting me in the things I love to do.

My beautiful daughter and incredibly adorable baby boy.  They are the sunshine of my life.  They are my inspiration.

I Love Vintage…Vintage Anything.

Old Windows, Old Doors, Old Buildings, Old Barns, Old Furniture.

I love to mow the grass.

I love to look at the freshly cut grass:)

I love it when I have room in my garage to park my car.  (don’t like cars parked on the street)  Is that weird?

I love to see my daughter laughing and smiling…having fun with her friends.

I love to hear my baby boy say “mama”.

I love to turn up the music really loud and dance with my daughter like no one is watching.

I Love to hear my husband laugh.

I Love to buy something old and turn it into something new.  I love to create things.  I love to paint, anything!

Ebay!  What would I do without ebay?

I love to find bargains.  It could even be $300…If it was originally $600, then it is a bargain and I should buy it!

I love Pizza.  I will eat any kind of pizza…frozen, cold, hot…from anywhere.

I love the White House Grill, The Porch and The Fort Grounds Grill.

I love my church…my bible study and my home group.

My photog buddies…Amy, Becki, Kelsi, Darryl, Crissy.  You all inspire me!  So very talented.  It is so nice to be able to share tricks, tips and secrets with each other!!!  You are all awesome!!!  Darryl, you are such an awesome wedding photog partner.

And, of course, I love to take pictures of anything or anyone.

All of my friends and family…You are all so awesome.  Thank you for all of your support.

And, most importantly, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Well, that’s my story…and I’m sticking to it!

Dayna Stevens: Your new blog is looking beautiful!

noelle: Christina, I am a student and I had to laugh because I spent a few years pursuing a health science degree before I realized that being a photographer is my dream. I hope my story ends up like yours with a very successful ending. I really like your style.

Melissa K: I discovered you through Angela's blog. It sounds as though you are a kindred spirit; I may have even walked past you at Farm Chicks or the Vintage Barn sale. ;) Your photography is pure eye candy.

Kelsei Rose: Okay I came across all this intirely by mistake but I must say I am completely in love with your photographs! :) I like doing photography as well & you have completely inspired me! I'm only 16 & if it's okay with my parents I'd really like you to do my senior pictures (I'll check into that). If you could please send me an email that would be great :)

Ally T: You are so dear to my heart...it is a joy to read about you...behind the lens! =)

Kim Gibson: BEAUTIFUL PHOTOGRAPHS!!!

Heather G: Just wanted to say that I have stumbled across your website via Facebook and I am in complete and total awe! Every picture I looked at was amazing! They even brought tears to my eyes! You have a great talent. I'm a lover of photography, although I don't have the equipment to do photos of this magnitude. I am in love with the vintage look. It's beautiful. Photography is so sacred and I couldn't imagine life without pictures. Looking through here, I find myself wishing I lived in Idaho! I just might have to come out and visit for the Vintage Barn Sale!
